The answer to this is simple. Following Christ is the only way to eternal life or the Christian faith needs to be totally rejected. In John 14:6 Christ says “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” In John 10:30 Christ says” I and my Father are one.” Christ is God. If there are other ways to eternal life, then what Christ said about himself is a lie and Christianity should be totally rejected. One may believe there are other ways to eternal life, but Christianity cannot be one of them. The Bible teaches that following Christ is the only way to God and eternal life.
